“The Alice Network” by Kate Quinn.

I loved this one! It’s another female espionage story but the setting covers two timelines - WWI and just after WWII. Told from two female narrators, one in the current 1947 time and the other circa 1915 during the first German invasion of France. I loved the way the story unfolds and you gather the pieces that connect the two wars and the women that have ended up working together to solve a mystery of a lost loved one. I spent a lot of time Googling pronunciation for all the French words and place names because I can’t stand “saying it wrong” even in my head (I might have perfectionist qualities
